The Tuscan Leather Door Stop is made from Italian leather sourced from the tanneries of Tuscany. When the leather arrives in the UK, it stays in storage until a Homeitems customer places an order. On ordering, a master leather-worker at our Somerset workshop will select a section of leather and make your door stop using double-stitching techniques. The resulting product is highly durable, unique, and of the high quality expected from a specialist British crafts-person
FILLED OR UNFILLED
FILLED - the doorstop comes filled with dried pea-shingle
UNFILLED - the doorstop comes unfilled for the user to choose and apply their own filling. Examples include rice, kiln-dried sand, or any other medium which suits his/her weight and density requirements
COLOURS AVAILABLE (1) chocolate brown (2) tan (3) noir (4) cream
HIGH QUALITY ITALIAN LEATHER the high grade leather for this product comes from the world-renowned tanneries of Italy, and has been through the most extensive chromium tanning processes to make the hide soft, yet inducing durability and scuff-resistance in to the leather
EASY CLEAN simply wipe with a damp cloth
DOUBLE-STITCHING TECHNIQUES skilled leather workers use double-stitching techniques to create the strongest seams. Working and handling the leather is an arduous process compared to working fabric; this is an item for those who like to appreciate the processes behind a product, as well as the product itself
CARE cleaning = wipe with a damp cloth when necessary; preservation = apply leather polish or saddle soap once a year to keep the leather supple

A decent British made product. It's actually bigger than it looks in the picture, so not exactly discrete, but I have to be fair and say that it is a doorstop - it has a job to do and does it well because it is heavy. Looks good, and guests do ask about it.

When I bought this I new I was being a little frivolous, but when it arrived I had no regrets. Seems very strong and the leather is good quality. Looks great against the green oak door in my Kitchen. Buy the unfilled bag - seems silly to spend the extra money on some simple filling
